Fall Events in Our Community

Falling leaves, pumpkin patches, candy apples and football: what isn’t there to love about fall? At Trindle Self Storage, we wanted to celebrate the season by giving you a list of some of our favorite events happening in our Carlisle community. Make sure to stop in the office and tell us which ones you checked out the next time you visit your storage unit.

• Come out to the Carlisle Theatre on October 5th for The First Annual Monty Python Fest! If Silly Walk contests, Spam Delites, Costume Contests and “Horsing” with Coconuts are your idea of a good time, you won’t want to miss out on this night of entertainment! And yes, a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail will be happening as well. To learn how you can get your hands on tickets to this event, call the Carlisle Theatre at 717-240-0970.

• Do you love to read? Then, mark your calendar for the Celebrate the Book Festival, happening on October 19th at 9:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Parish Activity Center. Located at 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, PA, this event is designed to bring readers and writers together to celebrate literacy and the love of books! The featured writer of the day will be Dr. Eben Alexander, who is the author of Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife. For more information, give Lynn Hofer a call at 717-440-0869.

• If you have a soft spot for beer and brats, you won’t want to miss the Carlisle Barracks Oktoberfest, occurring October 11th-13th at the Army Heritage & Education Center (AHEC) 950 Soldiers Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013. This event is free and open to the public, with events planned that will bring smiles to the entire family. Check out the event website for more details.

• Dress up the kids and head downtown for the Carlisle Halloween Parade, happening on October 21st in downtown Carlisle. The parade starts at 7:00 PM, so make sure to dress warm!
